01 Introduction
Pixio Games Studio (“Pixio”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit pixio.studio or contact us, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have. It applies to this website only; each Pixio game has its own privacy policy, linked from its store listing.
02 Data controller
Pixio Games Studio is the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy matter, contact us at [email protected].
03 Data you give us
When you email us or apply for a job, you may send us information such as your name, email address, phone number, company, profile link, CV or portfolio, and the content of your message. Applications sent with the form on a job page, including the CV, are stored on Pixio’s own servers with restricted access and used only to assess your application; we notify our hiring team by email that an application arrived. Other messages reach us only when you send an email from your own email app.
04 Data collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and network providers automatically process technical data needed to deliver pages securely, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages and the date and time of the request. This data is used for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting and is kept for a limited period.
05 Cookies and local storage
This website does not set cookies of its own and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking. Your language choice is part of the page address. Our hosting and network security provider may set strictly necessary security cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
06 How we use your data
We use personal data to: respond to your messages and requests; evaluate job applications; operate, secure and improve the website; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal effects on you.
07 Legal bases
Where data protection laws require a legal basis, we rely on: your consent; steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, such as evaluating a job application; our legitimate interests in running and securing the website; and compliance with legal obligations.
08 Sharing your data
We share personal data only with service providers that help us operate the website and our communications, such as hosting, network security and email providers, under appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations; with professional advisers where necessary; and with authorities when required by law. If Pixio is involved in a merger or acquisition, data may be transferred as part of that transaction under equivalent protections.
09 International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, depending on where their infrastructure is located. Where required, we take appropriate safeguards to protect your data in line with applicable law.
10 Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Job applications are generally kept for up to 24 months to consider you for future roles unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Other correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request and for any legal record-keeping obligations.
11 Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12 Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA), and the EU/UK GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent at any time, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, write to us at [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.
13 Children’s privacy
This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them through the website. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
14 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. If changes are significant, we will highlight them on the website.
